All Gods Are Made Of This...

All Gods have the same base - love - so if we say we believe in God
(which ever we want) but we are not loving humans or not becoming
loving humans then we obviously don't really believe in ANY God.

Then it is pointless going to a church or a temple or mosque daily but
not becoming or not even starting to become more loving people.

In this state praying to God could be seen as playing with God!!!

And a very dangerous play that could be.

As always, everything I say is on the ATM-F basis.

Does Prayer Work?

If we believed as much as we prayed, we would stop praying and start dancing!

Does prayer work? Quite often we would be forced to say, hmmm, well, not really.
Afraid of directly saying NO prayer does not work, we hem and we haw. But the visible truth is
our prayers don't work. That does not mean God does not listen to our prayers but more like there being something wrong with what we say when we pray.

I believe prayers work! Period. What we don't realize is when we pray with our lips God is listening with His heart and not with His ears. In His heart He hears the truth that exists in our hearts of our wants and needs. He sees the whole picture.

He hears what we ask for, then looks in our hearts and finds some other need we don't want to acknowledge, looks in our body and finds yet another need we have, in our minds there is still another and most probably different need altogether.

God, in his infinite wisdom, combines every thing together and comes up with the best possible answer to our prayers and this I believe - no sooner than we approach God, God Replies.

The problem is, God does not send down money when we say we need it; God does not send down a typed-in resume with the company's name on it when we say we need a new job and so on and so forth. Our God sends down opportunities through which we can achieve what we pray for. But since we are looking for complete answers in gift-wrapping we fail to see God's replies and so very often we say prayer does not work.

For instance, we pray for peace in our community and God sends us an annoying neighbor who is meant to be the way for us to achieve the peace we have prayed for. Not knowing the way God works we pray once again for peace in our community but this time add a small note to our prayer - Lord, please take that person away from here, he is disturbing our community.

God sends opportunity, hundreds and hundreds of opportunities, a continuous stream of wonderful opportunities but opportunities to do what?

I believe it is easy to understand what these opportunities are meant for IF we reflect on the basics of our God. Our God is Love. We exist, this world exists because of God's love for us. With so much love there could be just one end to God's plan for us - to bring us back to loving Him and every other creature He has created. If we humbly think that this is God's plan then obviously the opportunities are meant for only one thing - to find love, seek love, create more love.

Let us remember this the next time we pray and when we see our prayers answered in opportunities we will know we are right when we see the opportunities leading us to love.

P.S. Did not stop to edit or anything so I hope I've not confused you or anything

An uncertain start...

Don't know where to start...

I've collected a list of thoughts on small bits of paper. I usually write them down as they come. I found this immediate noting-down extremely important. You're busy buttering bread or slicing beef or shredding chicken and you get struck with a thought, like say for example - How to Own EVERYTHING In The World!!! And you get thrilled at the logic of the supporting thoughts that flood your mind or should I say your heart, for the thought is felt rather than imagined, and if you don't write it down it can disappear into thin air - completely.

You know you thought about something very good but you just can't remember what it was.

So from these pieces of paper that I have with me let me tell you about this one:

How To Own Everything!

When someone gets something they want they feel happy. They feel pleased with themselves and often, pleased with the world too. A new microwave, a new t.v., a mobike or car, stuff like this tends to make people feel happy. A good performance by the child in school makes a parent happy.

So suppose person X buys a new t.v. and feels a Y amount of happiness because he is the owner of a brand new 500 channel television?

WHAT IF we also could feel the same amount of happiness for that person, would it mean we too are like the owners of the that t.v. as we feel the same amount of happiness?

Yes, we don't have the t.v. with us but if you look carefully, what the person who has bought the t.v. has, is joy, and that is something we can have too. All we got to do is be happy for him or her.

At first this may seem a bit nonsensical but after a while the feeling of feeling good for another's good fortune becomes even better than actually owning any particular possession. And since one is able to feel happy because another is happy, when we ourselves get something we want, we get doubly happpy.

Don't you think by sharing in the happiness of another we can literally own what they have?

There is another side to this though; just as ready as we are to share in the happiness of another we should also be ready to share in any unhappiness too.

So if the brand new 500 channel television breaks down a few days after being bought and the dealer does not honor the guarantee we should feel the same frustration as if the t.v. was our own. (Not feel happy now!)

I believe owning everything is just a matter of truly sharing the feelings of one another - the good and the not-so good.

What Say You?
